#91ÑÇÉ«´«Ã½LovesPostdocs 2022
National Postdoc Appreciation Week starts Sept. 19. The 91ÑÇÉ«´«Ã½ participates in this observance, which is led by the National Postdoctoral Association, each year. Below is a list of the activities we have planned.
Thank-you notes on social media
As is our tradition, we'll publicly recognize these hardworking young scientists on our social media channels using the hashtag . We invite lab leaders and members to send one or more of the following to asbmbtoday@asbmb.org:
- A thank-you note of no more than 50 words and a photo. (Please note that your thank-you note may be truncated if necessary. Short sentences work best.)
- A video under one minute of yourself thanking a postdoc. (Professional video footage is not necessary. Feel free to shoot your tribute on your cell phone.)
Daily Twitter coffee breaks
Join us on Twitter () each day at 1:30 p.m. Eastern for a brief chat and you'll have a chance to win a cup of coffee on us. We'll ask a question or two. Use the hashtag in your response to be entered into the drawing for a gift card.
Virtual programming
Tuesday, Sept. 20: Interactive workshop about writing an effective teaching statement
Wednesday, Sept. 21: Town hall about work–life balance
Thursday, Sept. 22: Webinar about funding available from the National Science Foundation
#91ÑÇÉ«´«Ã½LovesPostdocs Twitter chat
We'll wrap up the week with our traditional Twitter chat at 2 p.m. Friday, Sept. 23. This will be an open forum for all who've been postdocs, who are postdocs and who are thinking about becoming postdocs. Please join us to share your insights and constructive advice.Enjoy reading 91ÑÇÉ«´«Ã½ Today?
